1 Squadron pilot friends 1942

Here a collection of pilot photographs, 1942, from Hannes's album. 


Johnny Seccombe with Sannie. Johnny later became a captain as flight leader. He finally bacame a major to lead 1 squadron.

Squadron members being briefed by Capt Tom Rhodes, most probably posed for the photographer. From this little lot of 11 pilots, 4 would soon be dead, 3 would became POW's and 4 would be able to carry on with the war effort.
